List each room and the large items in it. Then add boxes, loose household items and material in closets, sheds or garages. A room list makes it easier to discuss scope than a single whole-house guess.
Protect what matters
Set aside documents, medicine, keys, valuables and items another person is keeping. Label those items clearly before anyone begins carrying things out.
Record access and timing
Note stairs, narrow doors, long carries, vehicle parking and any property access rules. If a sale or handover sets a deadline, share it as a planning constraint rather than assuming immediate availability.

For each room, record large items, box count, keep items, access notes and any item that needs special disposal review.
